Learned My Lesson
I’ve been dancing around the idea of putting out my own music for, what feels like, forever. I’m so proud that Learned my Lesson is my first little song baby that gets to see the light of day. She’s honest and brave and I trust you’ll be kind to her. When Covid stopped the world, I knew it was time to get creative and find a way to keep moving forward. Learned my Lesson was produced over Zoom with my talented friend, Elliott Marchent, in the height of lockdown.
This song is inspired by the thing I feel messiest about so I guess it felt correct to let the video be emotional and imperfect because that’s what it is. I climbed a mountain at sunset and poured my heart out. I hope you listen and feel free to feel all the things because sometimes there doesn’t need to be a bright side but at least you can know you’re not alone.
